IMI Precision Engineering

Celina joined IMI Precision Engineering in Shanghai in November 2014 as APAC Lean Champion.

“I was attracted to IMI because of its clear vision about engineering great products and the focus on the lean strategy. I felt that IMI offered a clear roadmap on how to implement change. My main responsibilities are to build up a culture of lean manufacturing within Precision Engineering in this region, engaging and supporting my colleagues with tools they need. Since I have joined IMI, I have been impressed with the way the divisions are being brought together to collaborate and share best practice.”

Stefano Malacrida
Director, EMEA Marketing
IMI Critical Engineering

Stefano joined IMI CCI in Milan in February 2011 as Director, EMEA Marketing for the Critical Engineering division.

“IMI has offered me an amazing opportunity to grow and to challenge myself, and allows me to step out of my comfort zone. I was interested in IMI because of its global presence as an international, multicultural company, which has a structured and diversified presence within different growing sectors, and last but not least GREAT ambitions. The most unexpected characteristic that I have witnessed in my time at IMI is passion. From day one, it was easy to find yourself facing a challenge or road block, but at the same time, if you look around, you will recognise several people around you facing their own challenges, yet still showing an amazing passion for the work they do.”

“I was interested in IMI because the Company gave me the opportunity to learn new things – to understand more about the materials and processes related to my job and to use and improve in other languages for example English and German. My job is varied and I have interaction with colleagues in different parts of the company as well as our customers. Since joining IMI, I have been promoted and am now the team leader of the welding department, something that I am proud of.”

Kieran Griffin
Head of Engineering
IMI Hydronic Engineering

Kieran joined IMI as a graduate in 2001 and is now Head of Engineering at IMI Hydronic Engineering.

“From day one, IMI has offered me global mobility and the opportunity to gain experience in multiple fields of engineering in addition to marketing, operation and sales. I was lucky to have two graduate assignments within IMI Precision Engineering in Colorado, USA and Shanghai, China. I gained valuable experience of cultural awareness and an ability to manage personal and business change in dynamic and exciting environments. Each assignment pushed me out of my comfort zone preparing me effectively for the global engineering role I now occupy managing diverse teams and development programmes.”
