12 June 2009 - Change of Board responsibilities and change of auditor
IMI plc, the international engineering group, announces that Bob Stack, non-executive director, has today been appointed as Chairman of the Remuneration Committee. He is also chairman of J Sainsbury’s remuneration committee and was an executive director of Cadbury plc with responsibility for human resources. Bob takes over from Kevin Beeston, non-executive director, who chaired the committee for the last four years and will continue to be a member of this committee.
As previously reported, a formal, competitive process for the selection of an audit firm has been carried out and the Board has today, in line with the Audit Committee’s recommendation, approved the appointment of Ernst & Young. Ernst & Young will conduct the review of the Group’s 2009 Interim Management Report which will be issued on 27 August 2009.
