Pressurisation system in the world’s largest commercial building helps maintains the optimum temperature for flowers

IMI Company: TA Hydronics
Customer: Flower Auction, Aalsmeer
Installer: Vink

Location: Netherlands

Requirement: Maintaining a constant and correct temperature in the Flower Auction Building, the largest commercial building in the world, is vital to avoid damage to the 20 million flowers sold there per day. The owner turned to TA Hydronics when the system required an upgrade because of a successful relationship with Pneumatex due to the pressurisation vessels installed 25 years ago.

Solution: The TA Hydronics team in the Netherlands worked closely with the customer to find the optimum solution to maintain correct system pressure and provided ongoing technical support throughout the design phase, installation and system start-up. During the project, the team from the Flower Auction attended in-depth training with our experts to understand the principles of pressurisation and their impact on system performance. TA Hydronics have been invited to work on a further expansion of the Flower Auction Building.
