16 October 2008 - IMI announces appointment of Investor Relations Director

IMI plc, the major international engineering group, today announces the appointment of Will Shaw as Investor Relations Director with effect from 27 October.

Will is a Chartered Accountant and joins from Dairy Crest where he was Director of Investor and Bank Relations. Prior to this he was Director of Corporate Broking at ABN AMRO Hoare Govett.

Will assumes the investor relations activities that Graham Truscott has managed for IMI since 2001.  Graham will be continuing as Communications Director.
