We place great emphasis on community relationships at many levels. At corporate headquarters we continue our support for local institutions and we maintain healthy relationships with local schools and other charitable bodies.
IMI graduate trainees are encouraged to complete one Responsible Business project during their two year programme. Our trainees are involved in a wide variety of projects around the globe which include cleaning up nature reserves to assisting in schools for the mentally handicapped in India and volunteering in children’s hospitals in China. Educational activities are a strong theme across many of the social and community programmes pursued by IMI businesses and many graduates have been mentors at local schools through the Engineering Education Scheme.
