Creating impact with energy saving Climate Control solutions

Many cities globally are facing rising energy costs with outdated HVAC infrastructure, leading to inefficiencies and higher operational expenses.
With cutting-edge engineering expertise and solutions in hydronic balancing, pressurisation, water quality management, and thermostatic control, our Climate Control technologies not only optimise heating and cooling systems for commercial and residential buildings but also deliver measurable cost savings and sustainability benefits.
Collaborating with designers, architects, and installers, IMI delivers solutions that drive energy efficiency, reduce CO₂ emissions, and lower operational costs while ensuring comfortable indoor environments.
Transforming district heating in Oradea, Romania
The Oradea Water Lily District Heating Project in Romania is a significant development demonstrating how innovative Climate Control solutions can modernise infrastructure, enhance energy efficiency, and deliver financial and environmental benefits.
Oradea needed to integrate and regulate three distinct heating sources, geothermal energy, high-temperature heat pumps, and district heating, while ensuring cost-effective operations for approximately 6,000 homes and 17,000 residents.
By enhancing system efficiency through advanced hydronic balancing and pressurisation technologies - including IMI’s TA-Modulator, TA-Slider, and Transfero Connect – we reduced energy consumption, lowered maintenance costs, and improved budget predictability for local authorities and energy providers.
Reliable, cost-effective heating
The upgraded system provides stable, reliable heating, reducing inefficiencies and excess energy consumption. This is critical in colder months when heating demand surges. The integration of smart energy management technologies ensures optimal heat distribution, leading to tangible savings for both operators and residents.
Scaling impact across cities
With governments and businesses prioritising carbon reduction and energy-efficient infrastructure, IMI’s solutions are well positioned for significant growth. The Oradea project is just one example of how our innovative technology is supporting the energy transition while strengthening IMI’s leadership in sustainable Climate Control solutions.
Powered by proven technologies such as TA-Slider for smart control and Transfero connect for pressure management, our solutions are helping cities accelerate the shift towards energy efficient heating and cooling systems.
As district heating networks across Europe and beyond undergo modernisation, IMI continues to expand its market presence, bringing scalable, high impact solutions to urban centres globally.
