Nurturing female talent: our commitment to growth and innovation

Our investment in continuous training and development underpins the excellence in our know-how, customer service, and the innovation that drives our growth.
Opportunities for you to thrive in our world
We are developing female talent at every level of our organisation, ensuring employees have the tools and opportunities to create a longstanding career.
Designed to build the skills and knowledge necessary for long-term success, our High Potential programme consistently achieves over 50% female representation. With more than 80% of female participants experiencing career progression, this programme is supporting female career development right across IMI.
In 2024, we partnered with WeQual, a globally recognised organisation supporting organisations to create more diverse and inclusive cultures. WeQual is helping us develop, connect, and support current and aspiring female leaders at different levels of our organisation, equipping them for future progression.
Celebrating female talent
With opportunities to take on new challenges, our people are supported to thrive and excel in their careers.
Nadja Berghoff joined IMI in 1994, working in sales administration before recently being promoted from Revenue Controller to Customer Care Centre Team Leader for Climate Control in Germany.
As one of the first female Team Leaders of the Customer Care Centre, she expertly guides a high-performing team of 7, fostering success and continuity within the organisation, embracing the unfamiliar and innovating through finding new ways of working. Reflecting on her longstanding career with IMI, Nadja urges other women to believe in themselves and says her journey “has been characterised by many interesting people and great support”.
With a background in engineering, Caroline Zyla joined IMI in 2004 as a graduate. Over the years, she has built a diverse career spanning various functions from procurement, supply chain, engineering, and operations, to PMO in her current role as PMO Director for Industrial Automation.
“I’ve always loved fixing things, and now I help ensure we deliver projects effectively—so that we don’t need to fix them later,” Caroline shares.
As a wife and mother to a two-year-old son, she acknowledges the challenge of balancing career and family but values the support of her colleagues. “When you love what you do, you make it work,” she says.
Her advice to women looking to grow in their careers is to embrace discomfort. “Curiosity drives improvement,” she explains. She encourages women to be bold, even if they don’t feel fully qualified. “Push that bit extra to step outside your comfort zone.”
With progression, mobility, and global development opportunities, we are enabling women to build a career that grows with them.
