Single source pneumatics supplier deliver reduced purchasing costs and increased performance reliability

Aker Solutions is a market leader in drilling equipment and solutions. They were looking for a supplier who could deliver multiple pneumatic systems to control various operations, and wanted to reduce their number of suppliers by outsourcing to a company with the required expertise to meet the challenging environmental conditions. The equipment used within rig drilling platform environments faces challenges such as temperature extremes and saltwater pollution.

With many years of experience in the Energy industry, Norgren engineers were able to offer a complete solution for Aker's pneumatic requirements by analysing and understanding the customer's needs. This involved control cabinets, cylinders, wiper systems and fittings through a single stainless steel cabinet containing valves, air preparation, fittings and plumbing.

This simplified the installation process, whilst reducing the number of suppliers used. The Norgren products Aker received were manufactured from materials ideally suited to cope with the extremes and were all tried and tested against the harsh environments.
