June 2022 – acquisition of Bahr
In June 2022, IMI completed the acquisition of Bahr Modultechnik, a leading provider of highly configurable modular electric linear motion systems. The company provides precise motion control solutions to a diverse customer base with presence in highly attractive automation-driven end markets, including pharmacy automation, warehouse automation and robotics. The company is based in Luhden, Germany and was integrated into IMI Precision Engineering.

August 2019 - Acquisition of PBM
IMI announces the completion of the acquisition of speciality valve manufacturer, PBM. The acquisition extends IMI Critical Engineering’s market presence into new, growing segments – including Pharmaceutical / Biotechnology – fully in-line with IMI’s stated strategy. PBM enjoys strong distributor and representative relationships – particularly within its main US markets. There are clear opportunities to broaden the market access of both PBM and IMI through their respective routes to market.

March 2019 - CEO Succession
In March 2019, it was announced that, following five years with the Group, Mark Selway intended to step down as Chief Executive immediately following the Company’s Annual General Meeting on 9 May 2019 and retire from the Board on 31 July 2019. He was succeeded by Roy Twite, previously Divisional Managing Director of IMI Critical Engineering, who became Chief Executive Designate from 1 March 2019 and Chief Executive immediately following the AGM. Roy joined IMI in 1988 and has been a member of the Board since 2007. He has held senior management roles in all parts of the Group including President of IMI Hydronic Engineering, President IMI Precision Engineering and, since 2011, Divisional Managing Director of IMI Critical Engineering.
