Key Responsibilities
- Plan, study, and collect cost data related to raw materials, inventory, and labor at SKU level
- Analyze collected data and record findings
- Assess the cost impact of changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services, and determine product-level margins
- Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare standard versus actual cost reports
- Record and maintain cost information to support expenditure control
- Conduct cost audits and prepare related reports
- Develop cost estimates for new and proposed products
- Provide management with profitability and pricing analysis reports
- Maintain and enhance the Cost Accounting System
- Support month-end General Ledger closing activities
- Conduct physical inventory counts and monitor cycle count programs
- Reconcile finished goods inventory balances
- Perform valuation of Work-in-Progress (WIP) and Finished Goods (FG) inventories
- Reconcile Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) for reporting, internal audits, and external audits, while identifying process improvement opportunities
- Manage fixed asset accounting in compliance with IGAAP requirements
- Support other finance functions as required
- Reconcile CAPEX spending against budgets and forecasts, and track payback periods and margin improvements for NPD and VAVE projects
Requirements
- Relevant experience in Cost Accounting within a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or CWA qualification
- Strong background in cost systems and excellent analytical skills
- Sound understanding of accounting principles
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Outlook and Word
- Experience partnering with engineering and manufacturing teams on cost standard development and analysis
- Ability to prepare accurate daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills for cross-functional collaboration and follow-up activities
