Role Overview
The Project Planning & Production Control Lead is responsible for developing and managing project and production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders. The role works closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, and other cross-functional teams to align material availability, manufacturing capacity, and project milestones.The position plays a critical role in capacity planning, resource optimization and production scheduling.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and maintain detailed project schedules in close coordination with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production teams.
· Monitor project milestones and overall progress, and provide timely weekly status reports to management
· Collaborate with production teams to understand capacity, resource availability and production capacity to create accurate schedule
· Sound knowledge in capacity planning and identify the bottleneck resources/process
· Ensure sufficient loading of machines. Monitor daily output in terms of quantity as well as time.
· Coordinate with supply chain to ensure materials available on time to start production activities
· Communicate production plans, schedule changes, priorities, and risks to relevant stakeholders.
· Proactively identify project execution risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize schedule impacts.
· Monitor engineering changes and assess their impact on project schedules, inventory, and production activities
· Hands on experience in identifying and maintaining safety stock and Kanban.
· Review with concerned stakeholders to ensure manufacturing completes on time.
· Revise production schedules as required to accommodate changing priorities, material availability, capacity constraints, and customer requirements.
· Track project-wise material shortages and develop assembly kitting release plans to support smooth production flow.
· Monitor Key performance indicators on daily, weekly, and monthly and apply problem solving for continuous improvement.
· Foresee the risks in project execution and escalate to management.
· Prepare and present project status reports, performance metrics, and recovery plans to management.
· Co-ordinate with other functions and pull materials for uniform loading in machining, welding, and assembly. Improve utilisation of plant capacity.

· Good proficiency in excel.
· Knowledge of overall manufacturing process
· Result orientated and organised with the ability to deliver against deadlines.
· Basic knowledge in Power BI added advantage
· BE (Mechanical Engineering) with 10-12 years post qualification experience with valve industry(Preferably).
