Role Overview
Responsible for procurement of direct materials — Actuators, Pumps, Motors, Positioners, Hydraulic Power packs, Instrumentation controls, Tubing 6 Fittings, Seal 6 Gaskets, Springs including OEM parts, coordinate with Engineering and Manufacturing team as necessary. Responsible for delivery of parts on time as per specifications at right cost. Support in Pre-order costing, Intercompany 6 Indirect procurements.
Key Responsibilities
· Key supplier account management to drive performance.
· Driving SCM metric - Supplier OTO performances & Control of variances,
· Establishing supplier quality and ensuring First time right parts
· Review manufacturing & ship plan with supplier to ensure compliance to committed ship date.
· Identify gaps and implement actions to mitigate risks in order fulfilment.
· Initiate RFOs to suppliers for competitive bids. Lead purchase order creation, monitor workflow, ensure change notices, implement purchase contracts and agreements to ensure corporate legal safety from supplier's demands.
· Compliance to GST & SEZ regulations.
· Identification & develop alternate suppliers for performance and cost advantages as required.
· Build good relationship with suppliers to ensure timely supply of orders, compensate for any discrepancies in supply, and various other interface issues.
· Monitor of Engineering Change requests and cost implication of the same.
· Interface with departments on operational issues of payments, invoice discrepancies & approvals.
· Compliance to IMI CE policies and procedures including Code of conduct and Ethics guidelines.
Critical Competencies for Success
· Extensive knowledge of valve/ pump industry supplier base.
· Knowledge in Actuators, Motors, Hydraulic Power packs, Instrumentation controls & OEM Parts
· Good negotiating skills to get right prices comply to required delivery and quality standards.
· Demonstrated ability to work in a cooperative and team-oriented environment.
· Demonstrated ability to read part drawings and good analytical & planning skills.
· Experience and knowledge in ERP environment like ORACLE/BAAN/ IFS/SAP.
· Must be willing to travel as required.
· Education qualification and Experience: Degree in Mechanical/ Mechatronics / Electrical/ Instrumentation Engineering from good or reputed college only: 4- 7 years experience.
