IMI Way Day is a global celebration of who we are, how we grow, and the difference we make – together as One IMI. Taking place across each of our sites globally, IMI Way Day is a key part of our culture, bringing our people together to reflect, connect and create a better world.
This annual celebration is about amplifying what it means to be part of IMI. It's a moment to align around our purpose, grow through shared learning, and give back to the communities we’re proud to be part of. From strategy deep dives to personal development sessions and volunteering, every aspect of the day is designed to help us live our values – Always care, Be curious, and Create impact.

One IMI, many ways of creating impact
Our global teams brought this year’s IMI Way Day to life in many different ways. Whether through volunteering, learning or celebrating together, each site found its own way to live our values and make a difference.
Querétaro, Mexico
From a powerful haka performance to personal commitments shared on posters, our Transport and Industrial Automation teams in Querétaro celebrated a day full of meaning, with over 800 colleagues giving back by donating generously to support women with disabilities, children affected by violence, abandoned animals, and people with hearing disabilities.
Brno, Czech Republic
The Brno team continued their long-standing support for Domov Tereza, transforming its garden into a safe, sensory-rich space for people with physical and cognitive challenges. This year’s efforts included building a tool shed, creating a sensory path, and more. Welcoming Domov Tereza guests to the IMI site was a moving reminder of the real human connections we build on IMI Way Day and beyond.
Japan
In Japan, teams from Process Automation, Transport, and Industrial Automation united for a truly One IMI celebration. In an afternoon devoted to giving back, our teams came together in support of the local community – whether pulling weeds at Kobe Animal Kingdom or supporting a chemo therapy house. Every moment demonstrated our values in action, ending the day with a Q&A focused on sharing cross sector knowledge and insights.
Netherlands
Our Climate Control team in the Netherlands created impact by supporting a care organisation for people with intellectual disabilities. From running a photobooth to dressing up as Mickey Mouse, team members found creative, joyful ways to give back in a day of laughter and connection.
Poole, UK
After recognising value champions, our team in Poole turned their attention to Julia’s House – a local children’s hospice. Together they raised over £2,000 and wrapped up the day with a competitive quiz that brought everyone together.
Farmington, USA
In Farmington, the team spent the afternoon volunteering at Camp Courant – a local children’s camp that provides free meals, education, and summer activities to over 700 kids in the Hartford area. From cleaning up the site to preparing arts and crafts kits, the team got stuck in to help the camp get ready for a summer of fun. On site, inspiring talks from leadership reinforced that saying “yes” to bold ideas and new challenges drives both personal and customer success.
