Dividend reinvestment plan (DRIP)
Shareholders may also be interested in the IMI plc dividend reinvestment plan (DRIP) which is provided by our registrars Equiniti Financial Services Limited. It offers you the opportunity to use your cash dividend to purchase further shares and increase your shareholding in the company. Equiniti will purchase the shares on your behalf as soon as practicable on or after the dividend payment date. If you join the plan, all your future dividends will be reinvested in IMI plc shares. Further information including details of the fees and charges associated with the DRIP can be found here.
Chequeless dividends
We will withdraw cheques as a form of dividend payment from September 2023, with the last cheques being issued in May 2023. Dividends will be paid directly into shareholders’ bank or building society accounts.
Having your dividend paid directly into your bank or building society account through the BACS system:
- helps to reduce IMI’s impact on the environment by reducing the amount of paper we use;
- provides fast and convenient payment; and
- prevents cheques from being lost or stolen and therefore reduces the risk of fraud.
Our Registrars, Equiniti Limited, will then send you an annual dividend confirmation statement to confirm the amounts paid during each tax year.
If you currently receive dividends by cheque, please ensure that you provide your bank or building society account details to Equiniti, so that future dividend payments and any other money payable to you in connection with your shares can be made by direct payment.
If you need to update your bank/building society account details, you can do so through your Shareview Portfolio at www.shareview.co.uk or, if you are a sole shareholder of 2,500 shares or less, you can update your bank/building society account details by calling Equiniti on 0371 384 2916.
If you are a non-UK shareholder you can sign up to Equiniti’s Overseas Payment Service. For more information please visit www.shareview.co.uk/info/ops or contact the shareholder helpline on +44 371 384 2916.
