This role sits as part of our Life Science Sector. In our sector, we solve complex fluid and detection challenges to advance research, diagnose disease earlier and support patient-focused critical care. Our high-precision components and systems are designed to increase throughput, improve analytical sensitivity and maximise instrument uptime of analytical instrumentation. We also support ventilators and anaesthesia machines with trusted solutions that enhance efficiency and consistency in critical care settings.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Life Science IT Director, this is a diverse and challenging standalone IT role. It is a hands-on position involving all aspects of the company’s IT systems and will be full-time on site. You will play a key role in handling technical requests and resolving incidents on site to ensure optimum continuity of production.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical support to users on all systems, on site and remotely.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software incidents (workstations, telephones, network equipment).
• Overseeing system controls and governance within our ERP system
• Maintain documentation and secure approvals for security, new user setup, decommissioning and routine maintenance on all systems.
• Configure calculations, business rules, and workflows appropriately on the companies ERP system
• Create and manage formal user access audits on all systems in line with the Internal Control Declaration
• Configure, install and maintain IT equipment (PCs, printers, telephones, mobile phones).
• Manage incidents via ticketing systems, escalating if necessary.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure smooth operation of infrastructures
• Rigorously apply security protocols and remain alert to potential threats to systems.
• Manage orders and oversee IT hardware stock.
• Complete Software licenses audits and monitoring
• Complete Server / cloud / network event monitoring
• Develop and maintain a process for user permissions in line with site approval and audit
• Maintain full IT asset register and manage planned equipment lifecycle monitoring/maintenance
• Maintain strong internal control processes and documentation

• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business
• Ability to identify and implement systems and process improvement
• The flexibility to perform other activities, which from time to time become necessary
• A willingness to work additional hours or outside hours as required
• Ability to follow procedures and to adopt new methods as and when required.
Level of Knowledge & Qualifications
• Level 2 Certificate in ICT Systems Support – or similar.
• Level 3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence – or similar.
• ERP System Support knowledge/Qualification
Experience
• Proven experience in on-site IT support, ideally in an industrial environment.
• Solid skills in Windows environment, office automation and networks.
• 3 Years + in a similar role
• ERP system support experience

• Excellent organsational skills with the ability to quickly re-prioritise workload due to shifting requirements
• Ability to “play to win”, anticipate/find and close out problems
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) will be essential to undertake the role

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Personal qualities: autonomy, sense of service, rigor, and ability to work under pressure.

The salary range for this position is £40-45k plus benefits. Within this range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to the job requirements
