IMI Critical Engineering

Requirement: To provide premium IMI Critical Engineering DRAG Valves for the world’s largest gas-to-liquid (GtL) plant. Shell’s GtL plant uses a ground breaking process to turn natural gas into products traditionally produced by oil. To operate efficiently the plant will require treatment of 280,000 barrels of water a day. The equivalent needs to a city of 140,000 people.

Solution: CCI provided approximately 50 large DRAG control valves in gas to flare, compressor recycle and steam vent applications. CCI’s DRAG valves are also being used in the powering of the plant in applications like turbine bypass and desuperheating. CCI is a trusted partner in the world’s leading energy and petrochemical facilities.
