At IMI we are deeply committed to protecting our people and keeping them safe at work is of the utmost importance. We have set high standards for Health, Safety and the Environment, and do our absolute best to ensure everyone leaves work safe and well.

Earlier this month, seven leading industry health and safety professionals, from across global Fortune 500 companies, visited our Ljung facility for an event aimed to foster discussions on Health and Safety best practice.

The two-day meeting also offered the visitors the opportunity to tour our Ljung facility in Sweden, showcasing IMI’s commitment to Health and Safety measures within the workplace.

For any company, ensuring a safe work environment is of paramount importance. This gathering offered a unique opportunity for these experts to come together, learn from one another, and strengthen their collective dedication to workplace safety.

During the day, participants engaged in discussions on a range of topics, including deployment of safety communication campaigns, the influence of organisation structures on safety outcomes and safety as part of the visions and values of an organisation. As well as a session on future impact of AI on the function.

Mr Ken Wood, Council Director at The Conference board said: “First impressions – excellent. The site tour confirmed the expectation of excellence through continuous improvement from listening and learning.”

Mike Box, Group HSE Director IMI said: “Having the opportunity to meet with likeminded individuals from across industry reminds us that safety remains a universal priority. By learning from one another and promoting our best practices, we can work together to ensure that every employee returns home safely at the end of the day”.
